unHinged ("hinge.wiki", "we", "our") is a free entertainment web app that presents historical figures as dating profiles. We respect your privacy and collect only the minimum data needed to provide the service.

Information we collect

• Google account info — If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. This is used solely for authentication and to sync your data across devices.
• App usage data — We store your in-app activity (saved profiles, daily game progress, browsing preferences) to provide a personalised experience. This data is linked to your account if you are signed in.
• Purchase information — If you purchase premium, we process payment through Stripe. We store a record of the transaction (Stripe session ID) but do not store your card details.
• Feedback submissions — If you submit feedback or suggestions, we store the message and any optional contact details you provide (name, social handle).

How we use your data

• To authenticate you and sync your progress across devices
• To process premium purchases
• To improve the app based on aggregate usage patterns
• To respond to feedback you submit

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

• Supabase — Database and authentication hosting

Data retention

Your data is retained for as long as you have an account. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us. Upon deletion, all personal data is permanently removed from our systems.

We use browser local storage to save your preferences, game progress, and session data locally on your device. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies.

Children's privacy

unHinged is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.
